  • Bank On

First exhibited at Catalyst Arts,Belfast in 2010, and has since been shown at Galerie Deadfly, Berlin and the Oriel Davis, Newtown.   From Revolution at Galerie Deadfly … Bank on....  A central bank possesses a monopoly on printing the national currency, which usually serves as the nation's legal tender. Examples include the Bank of England, the Federal Reserve of the United States, and the People’s Bank Of China. Partly due to their misleading names very few people are aware, that central banks are privately owned and lend money with interest charged to the government/people. Richards work is a not so much a call to arms but to a more radical protest against the banking sector, to give the monopoly of controlling the money supply back to the people of each nation.   "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.
